FIELD STUDY

July Harvest

July 24, 2026Oldenzaal, Netherlands3 photographs

A series of late-summer fields observed after cutting, when the landscape begins to shift from growth toward residue. Flattened straw, distant machinery and scattered remnants of vegetation trace the physical effects of harvest across otherwise quiet rural scenes. Pale golds, subdued greens and softly faded colour give the photographs the character of aged instant film, reinforcing the sense of a season already beginning to recede. Rather than treating the harvest as spectacle, July Harvest focuses on its quieter aftermath—the altered surfaces, emptied spaces and small signs of work left behind.
